Help Self Love by Shaketa Williams create an organized, energetic shopping experience at Invest Fest 2026.

Selected volunteers will provide light booth support during an assigned shift and receive an appreciation package valued at approximately $345.

Opportunity Overview

Attend Invest Fest. Represent Self Love. Help Us Create an Amazing Experience.

Self Love by Shaketa Williams is looking for friendly, dependable, and outgoing volunteers to assist our team during Invest Fest.

This is a light, customer-facing support opportunity. Volunteers will help invite attendees to visit the Self Love booth and assist customers who are waiting to complete their purchases.

You will not be responsible for processing payments, handling money, or independently managing the booth.

What You’ll Receive

Volunteer Appreciation Package

Selected volunteers who complete their assigned commitment will receive:

Invest Fest General-Admission Ticket

Enjoy access to Invest Fest and experience the speakers, panels, networking opportunities, vendors, and activities outside your assigned volunteer hours.

Self Love T-Shirt

Receive a complimentary Self Love T-shirt to wear while representing the brand during your shift.

Self Love Wristband

Receive a complimentary Self Love wristband as part of your volunteer package.

$15 Meal Credit

Each volunteer will receive one $15 meal credit to use toward lunch or another meal during Invest Fest. This is a one-time credit for the entire weekend, not a daily meal allowance.

Estimated Package Value: $345

The estimated value includes the Invest Fest general-admission ticket, Self Love merchandise, and meal credit. 

What Volunteers Will Do

Your Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteers will provide light booth support in two primary areas.

Invite Attendees to Visit the Booth

You may be asked to:

  • Greet Invest Fest attendees near the booth
  • Introduce attendees to Self Love by Shaketa Williams
  • Invite interested attendees to visit the booth
  • Direct shoppers toward the available T-shirt designs
  • Help create a friendly, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere

Assist Customers Waiting to Check Out

You may also be asked to:

  • Ask the customer which design and size they selected
  • Retrieve the requested T-shirt
  • Confirm that the design and size are correct
  • Place the T-shirt inside a shopping bag
  • Pass the prepared purchase to the checkout team
  • Keep the shirt-pulling and bagging area neat and organized

This role requires standing, walking, communicating with attendees, and working in a busy event environment.

What Volunteers Will Not Be Responsible For

Clear and Limited Responsibilities

Volunteers will not be responsible for:

  • Handling cash/credit
  • Processing customer payments
  • Operating the point-of-sale system
  • Making pricing or discount decisions
  • Managing the booth independently
  • Completing formal inventory counts
  • Setting up the full vendor booth
  • Breaking down the full vendor booth
  • Loading or unloading heavy equipment

A Self Love team member will be present to manage checkout, payments, pricing, and overall booth operations.

  • Able to follow instructions
  • Comfortable standing and walking during your shift
  • Able to work in a busy and energetic environment
  • Excited to represent the Self Love message
  • At least 18 years old
  • Responsible for arriving at the venue on time

Previous retail, sales, customer-service, promotional, or event experience is helpful but not required.

Volunteer Dates and Availability

Invest Fest 2026 (Full Day Time Schedule)

Friday, August 7, 2026 Times 10a - 6p 

Saturday, August 8, 2026 10a - 8p

Sunday, August 9, 2026 10a - 6p

Applicants may indicate which dates and times they are available.

Exact shift times will be provided to selected volunteers before they accept the opportunity.

Volunteer Shift

Estimated shift length: 3 Hours/ Per Day / Per Volunteer (Alternate)

Volunteer 1 - 10a - 1:15p Friday

Volunteer 2 - 1p - 4:15p

Volunteer 3 - 4p - 6p (8p on Saturday)

Volunteers must be available for their complete assigned shift. Your general-admission ticket may be used to enjoy Invest Fest outside your scheduled volunteer hours.

Volunteer Dress Code

What to Wear

Selected volunteers will receive a Self Love T-shirt to wear during their assigned shift.

Please pair your shirt with:

  • Clean black pants or jeans
  • Comfortable, clean shoes
  • Neat and professional grooming
  • Minimal clothing or accessories displaying competing brands

Additional appearance and dress-code instructions may be provided before the event.

How the Selection Process Works

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Complete the volunteer application and provide accurate availability for the Invest Fest weekend.

Step 2: Application Review

Applications will be reviewed based on availability, dependability, communication skills, and the needs of the Self Love booth.

Step 3: Brief Interview

Selected applicants may be invited to complete a brief virtual interview. (Via Zoom)

Step 4: Official Selection

Approved volunteers will receive:

  • Their assigned date and shift
  • Volunteer expectations
  • Arrival and check-in instructions
  • T-shirt information
  • Ticket information
  • Meal-credit information
  • Parking information, if applicable

Step 5: Confirm Your Commitment

Volunteers must confirm their shift and complete all requested onboarding information by the stated deadline.

Important Information

Please read before applying:

  • Submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
  • Invest Fest tickets are only reserved for officially selected volunteers.
  • Volunteers must complete all required onboarding steps.
  • Volunteers must arrive on time and remain for their complete assigned shift.
  • Volunteers are responsible for transportation to and from the venue.
  • Parking assistance has not yet been guaranteed.
  • The $15 meal credit will be provided during the assigned volunteer day.
  • T-shirt designs and sizes are subject to availability.
  • Volunteer opportunities are limited.
  • Volunteers who cancel, arrive excessively late, or fail to appear may lose eligibility for the ticket and other volunteer benefits.
